Our stay was fantastic! The breakfast options were incredible, and we felt truly welcomed by the attentive staff. One highlight was the amazing location, just a flat walk into the historic parts of York, perfect for exploring with my family and my mother.
In my wife’s opinion, a small play area for kids would be great.

The room was super comfy, and I especially loved the beautiful garden area for some peace and quiet. There were great spots to unwind, like the sun terrace and cozy lounge with live entertainment. The only thing was the thin walls made it a bit noisy at times, but it didn’t ruin my experience. 😌

Found myself loving the culinary scene around Georges Place! With The Wild Swan and Rehab Piccadilly just a stroll away, I was spoiled for choice. Plus, the friendly host offered seamless late check-in and I was greeted with lovely biscuits! It's clean and tidy too!
Had a warm room, which could use a fan for those hot nights, and a milk alternative for the tea selection would be a nice touch. But seriously, nothing else to grumble about!

Clean, cozy double room with inviting decor. The location makes it easy to explore the city center. Breakfast featured quality ingredients that satisfy any appetite.
While our stay was mostly fine, the room showed signs of wear, like peeling wallpaper and a lack of mixer taps in the bathroom. Water pressure was barely there, making showers frustrating. We also noticed a persistent odor in the room and a rusty, leaking radiator, which needed attention. The absence of on-site staff to address these issues felt a bit inconvenient, especially after two nights in a somewhat underwhelming setting.

The Double Room offered good value, providing a comfortable space with an inviting atmosphere. The en-suite bathroom featured a fresh design, enhancing the overall stay experience.
One oddity was the need to pay for parking, even with the hotel's own car park—makes you wonder about that. The shower pressure left much to be desired, which made for a frustrating experience, and there was some unexpected drilling noise during my stay that disrupted the peace. breakfast, while tempting, came at a steep price of £15 each for the full English.
